Recently, we provided support to Q Report customer Anne, who was the victim of a robbery while on holiday. Although she was halfway across the world, we got to work straight away.

“It didn’t matter that the police report was in French, Q Report said that would be fine...Even with that little hiccup, my claim was approved in 24 hours”, explains Anne.

Claims for custom jewellery

Another policyholder called David was the victim of a robbery involving his wife’s custom-made engagement ring. Although the ring was a one-of a-kind piece, we made sure that David would be happy with the replacement.

David said: ‘When I first called Q Report, they were great. They were very sympathetic and understanding of the situation. But they were also very efficient and said, “This is what we need to do.”’

And so we took action, working with Simon—David’s custom jeweller—to have the issue resolved.

“The very next day we were contacted by Q Report,” said Simon, “So we got the process rolling to find the same type of stone straight away.”

Once the claim was underway, Q Report took every measure to give David and his wife a like-for-like replacement.

“The price had gone up a little bit from its purchase price,” said Simon. “Fortunately, Q Report had a 25 per cent buffer. Everything was wrapped up within about three weeks.”
